Michelle Gibson, Photographer
Born to an art appraiser father and an adventurous medical technician mother, I’m an editorial, portrait, branding, stock and fine art photographer who specializes in narrative story telling. My style is genuine, intimate, and approachable. My work can be seen in magazines and in various print media campaigns for the educational and the healthcare sector. While working in a corporate role in San Francisco, I realized how amazing it was to make pictures and enrolled in photography art college. I’ve been lucky enough to participate in art shows and exhibits with other wonderfully talented artists in both the US and in Canada. For my personal work, I love to photograph all things vintage, female inspired narratives, my husband and last but not least, my son. I credit him for keeping me inspired and always keeping me on my toes. My latest work is a personal passion project entitled, She Was Not Okay that was inspired by my traumatic health journey and life saving surgery in Barcelona, Spain. The series has expanded to include the stories of women and their health struggles, medical challenges, and other obstacles that are unseen on the surface.
